When it comes to getting married, there are many decisions that need to be made. Not only will you need to figure out where to get married, but the reception, the details, and the honeymoon all have to be figured out. When it comes to the rings, it can be a hard decision to make as well. You can go many different ways, but most people will choose wither a gold wedding band, or a silver wedding band. It really all depends on what a couple prefers most, but when a couple is at a stand still in deciding, it can be frustrating. Of course, the decision can be made simple if one person is allergic to gold, but if not then it has to come down to cooperation.

A way to do this is to decide that on your marriage day, you will exchange either a gold wedding band or a silver wedding band, and then at your one year anniversary, you will exchange the kind of band that was not exchanged on your wedding day. So for example, if you exchange a silver wedding band on your wedding day, a gold wedding band will be exchanged on your one year anniversary. This will give you both what you want, although one does have to wait a year for their preference. In the end, a couple will be happy with their choices, and no one had to “do without.”

A gold wedding band is traditional and almost always expected when it comes to exchanging wedding rings. But in truth, neither has to be used. If you simply cannot come to an agreement about whether or not to purchase a gold wedding band or a silver one, try deciding on something totally different. Try going for something totally different, like colored bands with your birthstones.
